My name is Szilárd Bordi-Zima, head of the hunting agency. I have been fascinated by nature, the world of wildlife, fish and birds since I was a child. When I was five years old, when I was asked what I wanted to be, I said a hunter. This surprised my parents, as no one in the family was doing it. Luckily, with God’s help, I was able to achieve my dream!

Focus Hunting was founded in 2006, together with my wife Orsolya Bordi-Zima. Our company is located in the centre of Romania, near Târgu Mures, in the neighbourhood of the famous castle of the African explorer Samuel Teleki, in Sáromberk. I have a degree in wildlife engineering and have been working in this profession since 2006. First as a director of several hunting companies, then as a professional hunter. Although my wife has a degree in tourism, she also accompanies our guests as a professional hunting guide.

Nearly 20 years of hard work and a wealth of experience have resulted in a wealth of professional knowledge. since 2011, we have been organising hunts in Romania on almost 1 million hectares of hunting grounds, exclusively in the South-Eastern Carpathians and Central Carpathians. We try to preserve the true values of hunting in this materialistic, money-oriented world, by hunting selectively and ethically. As a result, the quality of wildlife has improved significantly in recent years. The satisfaction of our guests and the quality of the trophies speak for themselves. As our capacity is limited, the timing of the hunts is of paramount importance to us.

In the last few years we have also opened up to organising hunts abroad. Every year we organise hunting programmes to Spain, Turkey, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Africa. We usually accompany our guests on our hunts abroad for better quality! Our aim is to choose the most suitable hunting opportunity for our guests, taking into account all circumstances.

That’s why we only work with experienced and highly skilled teams who not only have an excellent knowledge of the hunting area and game population, but also outstanding expertise in hunting. The professional hunters speak Romanian and occasionally Hungarian, but they all speak German or English at kitchen level, so communication is not a problem. Our team will make sure that you have all the equipment you need for your hunt. They will give you expert advice on how to hunt, how to behave and how to use your weapon. They will also accompany you on your hunt and help you find and catch the game you want.

Special Accompanying Services on request

On request, we can also accompany some hunters with a camera so that the trip can be captured on video, but this must of course be agreed in advance. This is a great opportunity to come home with memorable moments to share with family and friends. Remember, proper equipment and preparation are key to a successful hunt and to making the experience last!
